DESCRIPTION:Mentoring with a Coaching Attitude \nby Sylviane Cannio (in Fre
nch and English)\nPlease note: change of date! (moved to Feb 18th 2025)\nF
rom 18:45 - 20:30 More than 70% of Fortune 500 companies offer some sort
of mentoring programme. Despite this high prevalence and known benefits o
f mentoring for the organisation and the individual\, data on the positive
impact of mentoring is still sparse. Therefore\, there is an unmet need a
nd opportunity for HR professionals.\nLack of structure\, mismatching of m
entor and mentee\, absence of training and performance metrics\, are some
of the common reasons for suboptimal mentoring programmes. In addition\, t
he blurring of boundaries between the two disciplines of coaching and ment
oring\, is resulting in further misconceptions. While they use similar fou
ndational skills\, coaching and mentoring are two different tools from the
same toolkit.\nYet it is possible to embed some of the coaching practices
into mentoring\, especially to better structure the programs and make sur
e we do not enter a ‘know it all – don’t know anything’ posture between me
ntor and mentee. During the session\, Sylviane Cannio will share the Mento
ringCo model\, a framework for establishing corporate mentoring programs a
nd where some elements of coaching are inserted.  She will also provide in
sights and guidance on how to ensure mentoring programs “stick” and delive
r sustainable impact and benefits to the organization.\nThe theme creates
bridges between two professions\, mentoring and coaching and\, therefore\,
creating the ‘unity in harmony’. This is why we speak here about Mentorin
g with a Coaching Attitude.\n \nTakeaways: This session is designed to hel
p the audience:\n\nRefresh their knowledge on the evolution of mentoring o
ver the years\nExplore the complementary nature of coaching and mentoring
\nExchange experiences and good practices in setting up corporate mentorin
g programs for success\nGain an appreciation to why mentoring is very much
alive and in demand\nSee if mentoring could be threatened by AI in the fu
 ture\n\nLink to register: https://my.weezevent.com/mentoring-with-a-coachi
